I just saw a bit on tv just now about a study done ranking the top 10 cities to live in Ontario based on 20 criteria. Transportation, small business growth, beaches, closeness to major highways, closeness to cottage country, home resale value, lifestyle, etc... Guess what the #1 city in Ontario is?? Barrie/Orillia! Ok that's not one city, but the two are side by side and both ranked #1. Real estate sales in the first quarter of this year are up 10% in both Barrie and Orillia and the average sale price is up 10% in both cities too. This is great, I wonder what the value of my new house will be in 5-7 years from now. Mom's house went up $50,000 in around 5 years.
Best city to live in Ontario
