I was just watching a documentary on Apple. It showed how they got started etc... very interesting. That reminded me of some very early memories. I was with my dad and we'd go to his work after dinner sometimes so he could work on the computer because he had a lot to do. Nobody else was in the factory. I remember the apple logo and the shape of the computer (it was an early mac, sometime between 1984-1986) and he'd sometime spend hours on it. Often the lights weren't on and I'd get so bored. The colorful apple logo used to amuse me a bit sometimes. I remember my mom and family saying that dad is too smart to do his old job so they make him do computer stuff now. Not until I was deep into programming many years later did I find out that he was a computer programmer. I also found out that his dad was a mainframe operator for IBM and worked there for most of his life. Apparently they used to take me to annual IBM family fairs with ferris wheels, rides, picnics etc... I don't remember that. The last time I saw him was when I was 4 or 5 years old because of divorce and I didn't reunite with him and that family until I was 18 or 19.
