Tonight I finally finished reading a 2" thick book on the JSF web development framework. I'm pretty excited about making use of it but before I do, there is one more book I want to read. It's a book on Hibernate. I'll start reading that one tomorrow night. My approach to learning this stuff is to read every page but not to worry about remembering everything. I want to get a full understanding of the big picture then when I start my first project (probably my website) I'll reference the book for the details.
And about my grandma.. Nana.. She's been suffering from a rare form of arthritis called Sclara-Derma for the past 5 years or so. It's in her organs and and she's very near the end. She's been mostly in bed lately. A while back I asked her to come visit me as a ghost when she dies for me to know that afterlife is real. I said don't scare me though, find a way to do it while I'm awake but that won't scare me. Tonight while finishing the last chapter of my JSF book I experienced something very odd. I smelled waffs of perfume. It wasn't from me, the dog, all windows were closed and the smell did not come from the tenants downstairs. It happened around 11:15 PM. It happend a few times, including just a couple minutues ago while I was typing about JSF. I'm a bit worried. I tried calling mom at work but she's not there (maybe she's on days). If she did die, that was a really good way to show me that afterlife is real without scaring me. When my aunt died, and also my last dog, I saw them in dreams. But those were dreams. This was real, I was wide awake. I wonder what will happen tomorrow. I'll phone to find out, maybe she's alive still. If so, I can't explain what happened.
