Windows Vista

I can't wait for Vista to hit the shelves, I'll be one of the first to get it. I remember the transition from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95.. that was big. Going from Windows 98 to Windows XP was also big. I think Windows XP to Windows Vista will also be big. It looks so neat, like Mac OS X and Linux desktops.

I bought the 64 bit laptop a week or two ago and surprise surprise, I can't use 64 bit linux on it because of my ATI video card. I've spent hours researching and trying different things. It looks like the only way I'll get it to work is by using 32 bit linux with the 32 bit ATI driver. I'm looking forward to the day ATI gets the 64 bit driver working so I can make use of my 64 bit cpu. I think I'll get 32 bit Open SUSE 10 installed with KDE tonight.

I'd bet my car that Windows Vista will install without a hitch on this laptop.
